Sutra Repository
(Kyôzô)

The Sutra Repository (Kyôzô) was build in 1859 (Ansei 6) and completed in 1860 (Man'en 1), with funds from the 120th generation abbot Yôchû. It houses a Goreyo-dynasty compendium of the Buddhist canon, as well as a Yuan-dynasty manuscript of the Great Wisdom Sutra (Mahaprajna-paramita-sutra) from Puning-si Temple.
